American Icon Eagle (Photography)
The bald eagle represents strength and freedom, and was chosen as the emblem of the United States of America in 1782.
Cheyenne, the bald eagle captured in this image, is pictured in front of a painted backdrop. She is a seven-year-old female who was appearing as part of a presentation at a Native American Inter Tribal Powwow. Cheyenne is blind in her right eye as a result of a mishap or human assault. She was rescued in Anchorage, Alaska.
