Monument Valley - known as Tse' Bii' Ndzisgaii in Navajo (meaning "valley of the rocks"), is located on the Utah-Arizona border within the Navajo Nation Reservation.

Characterized by its cluster of sandstone buttes, Monument Valley is one of America's most iconic western landscapes - often seen in classic John Ford movies including Stagecoach, Fort Apache, and The Searchers, as well as Sergio Leone's Once Upon a Time in the West.

This image captures views of West and East Mittens, and Merrick Butte.
