THE VENUS SYNDROME

Logline: A Special Ops soldier must travel back in time to the 21st century and kill the president to save his climate-ravaged world from dying out.
Bio: Lynn Vincentnathan was born and grew up in La Jolla, California, did some social column reporting during high school for her father’s newspaper, the La Jolla Light. Her husband is from India, a criminology professor. Her B.A. is from the University of California, Berkeley and Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin, both in anthropology.
Although she has spent most of her post college years teaching college, engaging in academic grants and publications, and establishing an Environmental Studies Program, she has also been writing fiction for many years, and has taken several creative writing and screenwriting courses in-class and on-line at the Gotham Writers’ Workshop. Among the many courses she has taught are Popular Novel Writing, Mythology & Psychology, and Folklore.
She has one novel published, The Marriage Season, set in India, and has written two screenplays. She is currently working on the beat sheet for a comedy, “Supermom Strikes,” and has ideas for several more. Although varied in genre they are all about climate change or environmental issues.
